Course Description:
In this module, we will discuss how the public Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program assists consumers in selecting career goals and developing a comprehensive Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE). We will review the requirements of the IPE, services, objectives, and measures to ensure progress toward the goal. We will also address the important role of comparable benefits and support services, and discuss considerations for post-secondary education and training cases.

- Define an IPE and its role in the VR process
- Identify the components of the IPE and the federal requirements that guide it
- Recognize the various ways the IPE can be developed
- Understand the consumer’s role in IPE development
